This is a semi-permanent procedure, where the professional adheres an individual synthetic lash to each individual lash of the eye. The result is a natural extension to the client’s lashes that generally lasts the full length of the natural lash given proper home care.

How Long Will They Last?

Many factors will affect the life of the lash extensions. Keep in mind that your own natural lashes shed naturally every 60 days. This varies for each person. In general, your own natural lash cycle, your lifestyle, and aftercare will affect how long the lashes last. Touch ups are recommended every 2-3 weeks, depending on your individual needs. Humidity and moisture will also affect the life of the eyelash extensions.

It is not uncommon for lashes to fall prematurely from each eye, some of which are the lashes where the extension was bonded to. Once applied, the technicians have no control of which lashes fall out and how quickly the client’s own natural lashes shed. It is due to this factor that Yin Beauty and Arts cannot place a guarantee on the longevity of your eyelash extensions.

What can I expect when getting lashes applied?

The eye area is prepped for application. Individual lashes are applied one by one to each natural lash. The lash is adhered using a specially formulated extension adhesive. The adhesive is then sealed with a coating to protect the extensions from sweat, dirt, and pollution. The result is thicker, longer, voluminous lashes.

How long will the full application procedure take?

The application can take anywhere from 60 minutes to 90 minutes depending on how many lashes the client has. The more lashes the client has the more lashes that will need to be applied to create a natural appearance.

Are Eyelash Extensions Approved of by the FDA?

Yes and No. YES, the FDA does oversee our entire imported product and accepts it as a safe product for the eyelashes. NO. because the extensions are attached to the hair and not the skin, it is not likely the FDA will be regulating them any time soon.
